Gary Greene
Vice President and General Counsel
Gary Greene is Vice President and General Counsel for Walker Digital, overseeing all legal matters for the company and its subsidiaries, including litigation, intellectual property, commercial transactions, corporate governance and employment law issues. Gary joined Walker Digital in September 2011 as part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its patent licensing and enforcement programs. Previously, Gary served as General Counsel of the Financial Accounting Foundation and as Chief Corporate Counsel of Synapse Group, Inc., a direct marketing company co-founded by Jay Walker. Gary was also Associate General Counsel at Time Inc., where he was responsible for technology licensing and litigation. For more than 20 years, he has handled all stages of litigation and arbitration, including serving as lead counsel in state and federal court trials.
Earlier in his career, Gary served as counsel at The New Power Company and AT&T. During the past decade as senior in-house counsel, Gary has been instrumental in assisting companies achieve their business goals.
After receiving his J.D. from Cornell Law School, Gary began his career as a litigation attorney at top firms in New York and New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, in addition to being an Authorized House Counsel in Connecticut.
Married with two children, Gary is an avid golfer and sailor who is also very active in his community. He serves as chairman of his local Zoning Board of Appeals, and as a board member of the Jewish Family Service, Temple Shalom in Norwalk and the Jennifer A. Kay Foundation. He also founded Synapse’s tutoring project at a local middle school.
