Associate General Counsel
Dan Tedesco is the Acting General Counsel for Walker Digital, overseeing all legal matters – including all regulatory, personnel, corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation and contracts – for the company and its subsidiaries. He is also one of the company’s leading inventors, having been cited as an inventor and co-author of over 130 issued U.S. patents and over 250 pending U.S. and international patents.
Prior to focusing on his current legal responsibilities, Dan led a team of 15 Walker Digital inventors through brainstorming, invention disclosure drafting, and the patent application process in a variety of business sectors. Among them: electronic commerce, intelligent vending, credit card transaction processing, lottery administration, airline ticket reservation and yield management, direct marketing and event ticketing.
Dan managed the research, development and filing strategy for the priceline.com patent portfolio. He is listed as a named inventor on the patents assigned and licensed to priceline.com. Dan is also a principal inventor of vending machine innovations which became the basis of Vendmore Systems’ QuickStore24.
After initially joining Walker Digital as an inventor and prior art researcher, Dan has risen steadily through a series of promotions – first to Director of Intellectual Property; later to Senior Counsel & Vice President or R&D; then as Associate General Counsel; and finally to his present position.
Outside of Walker Digital, Dan is widely recognized as leading innovator in the field of “assistive technology.” His efforts in this area focus on creating mobile tools for families coping with autism.
